Buying What You Adore, At Prices You Love!

Let's face it, everyone loves wearing a hot label here and there. Everyone also loves feeling great about their purchases. Me, being an avid shopper, have found ways to score things I love for a lower price. That way, I can buy even more of what I love. There are several ways to go about finding deals that don't require searching for hours on end in clearance racks. And today, I'm feeling pretty generous about my tips. Here goes:

  • Build relationships with the full-time associates. This is important especially if they have sales goals to make. They will usually call you when there are good sales, and hold your merchandise for you until you can make it to the store.
  • Sign up for email lists and follow your favorite retailers/boutiques on twitter and facebook for special discounts and promotions.
  • Try shopping in small scale boutiques because they will more than likely offer discounts just to get their name out and often times they really want to make a sale.
  • Check out magazines and websites such as Lucky, elle, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, and other fashion publications because they have tons of addtional websites listed for deals on items they feature in their articles.
  • Last, but most certainly not least, a part-time job at your favorite shop will always give you access to their employee discount, and smaller boutiques sometimes allow employees to "check-out" items temporarily. How cool would it be to see all the new goodies first, and score them at a discounted price?

Hopefully these tips bring you much luck. Happy shopping! And as always, feel free to comment if you have any questions.
