What To Wear: Weddings!

::Sigh:: I love weddings....I really do....

Whether you love weddings or not, they are pretty unavoidable. Family will marry, friends will marry, and you will probably have ceremonies to attend with a significant other or a friend/family member that refuses to fly solo. This is where I come in, I am going to give you the in and outs of wedding attire so you won't be remembered for anything except for your gift, and how FAB you looked :)

1) Do NOT wear white...unless you have cleared it with the bride first. You have 364 days to wear white, let her have her color.

2) Try not to wear anything too revealing. Save the little mini dresses for the reception or another event. Keep it classy.

3) Save all the dramatic colors and neon for another occasion. You don't want to upstage the bride or draw too much attention to yourself *ahem* especially if you are an ex ;)

Other things to consider:

4) Afternoon and evening weddings are semi dressy: for ladies, a nice knee-length dress or skirt and top is perfect. Great fitting pants would work just as well. For men, slacks with a button-down shirt works. Or a polo. I'd stay away from denim.

5) Semi-formal weddings would include cocktail attire for women and a tie for men.

6) Black Tie weddings: Women should be prepared to wear an evening gown and men would wear a tuxedo or slacks and a dinner jacket.

7) White Tie is definitely for the glamorous and would consist of long evening gowns for women and a tuxedo for men. This is also the time to wear furs and lots of jewels.
